Another important input towards the great final result of the production came from conductor Pierre Vallet's reading of G. Verdi's score: there were no dragged tempos in sight, one could also hear expressive contrasts and an extraordinary flow of music. The entire musical action assumed a stricter, but at the same time - more fluid and nimble form. P. Vallet's interpretation of the concept of this opera was somewhat reminiscent of the one offered by Riccardo Muti.
